Andy’s Questions

May 26, 2009 | by Andy One Comment

The latest in a series of burning questions that keep me up at night:

If you were to start a circus where would one go to buy an elephant and how much would they cost? Craigslist?

Why can’t I buy one barrel of oil?

Do gas prices go up for Nascar drivers too?

How do offshore oil rigs stand in the middle of the ocean?

If you want to buy an elephant, there is a dealer in Kenya who owns a small farm. He can hook you up, and I can get you his name, but the bigger challenge will be getting a permit to bring the elephant to the U.S. from the Department of Agriculture, Fish, and Wildlife. In order to qualify they have to do an inspection of the facilities and grounds provided for the elephant, the handlers’ expertise, and the availability of veterinary care. So you should probably get your circus in order first before starting to buy large land mammals willy nilly.
