While the Western media was busy dropping the ball on its coverage of the Iranian uprising, Twitter brought us the news directly from the source.

What did the U.S. news outlets do when they finally got rolling? They posted the Twitter ID’s of actual students in Iran…so people could follow them — people like, say, THE IRANIAN GOVERNMENT! How retarded can you get? That’s like if, during World War II, the U.S. posted the names and addresses of the people in the French underground.

I wasn’t going to post anything about the situation in Iran because it was all happening so fast and I’m to slow to react to something like that. But I did stumble across some amazing photos of the protest that I thought were worth sharing. The last few are a bit graphic so be warned.

Earlier today (or maybe it was earlier tomorrow – I’m not sure how the time change works), the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah mumble mumble mumble, directed the Guardian Council to look into the election results. According to Iranian-run television, the Ayatollah (or The Big A-toll) directed the Guardian Council to “carefully probe” the results.
